About Us
Welcome to Grateful Hearts, where we champion the beauty of gratitude.
Grateful Hearts was born from the idea of wanting to give thanks to a team of doctors who took excellent care of me after I was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I wanted to do more than express thank you in words, or in a card ... I wanted to give a keepsake that could remind my care team of my deepest gratitude and how they profoundly touched my life. That is how our original product, the Grateful Heart, was created. The idea became a focus that helped me get through the first several weeks of my diagnosis and treatments. It was a positive distraction that allowed me to divert my mind to something other than waiting for test results, worrying about everything that came to mind and the struggle of healing after my surgery.
My husband and I started researching and brainstorming what could symbolize the feeling that I had for the people around me that were taking great care of me. After much thought, The Grateful Heart was designed. Our Grateful Heart ornament embraces all aspects of gratefulness - with the universal spiral that represents gratitude, to the pink color that represents appreciation and gratefulness, to the heart shape that reflects love and admiration for the recipient.
The Grateful Heart collection is the perfect gift for a caregiver, a mom, dad, family member, teacher, coach, military serviceman or woman, co-worker, neighbor ... the list is endless. Remember that special person who was there for you in a time of need, or who deeply influenced you in your life. Gift them our Grateful Heart ornament so that special person can be reminded of how much you appreciate and are grateful for them.
Our Mission and Goal
March 18th was the goal to have the gifts ready for my two surgeons. Mission complete. The moments before the surgery, both doctors greeted me in the pre-op room and I gave each of them a Grateful Heart ornament. Their response was overwhelming. Nurses around watched my surgeon open the gift and the entire room of nurses, assistants and caregivers passed the ornament around a room of teary eyes.
Sharing feelings of thankfulness not only enriches our lives but also strengthens our relationships with those around us. Which is exactly what happened with the first gifting of Grateful Heart.
